I like how you get into the troubled “why” of self-advocacy. It’s hard, emotionally draining work, and I often find myself wondering *why* I’m doing this. But, like you note, I often think about what I went through as a kid — and I hope that, somehow, future generations won’t have to go through that crap. That thought keeps me going in a lot of ways.

I think many autists have skewed view of advocacy. They don't understand how thankless it is
